Time Well Spent.....

I absolutely LOVE spending time with my children...

Yesterday, I took the afternoon off & when I got home my youngest son, Adison, was waiting for me at the door. Kendall took a nap with Daddy & the older two were in school, so it gave me the opportunity to spend some one-on-one time with him. I decided that rather than have him following along side me with a paper towel and some Windex to clean my neglected house with me, that he would enjoy being outside(& so would I...which is why the house is neglected.) We took a drive down the road to the river and on the way, we stopped and looked at a old headstone, dating back to 1689! There is a long stairway that leads to the cross and then there is seating and an explanation of the deceased at the top.

This next pic will show you what I love about my little guy....
he is typically always smiling, laughing, cracking jokes......he loves
to laugh and to make other's as well.

And then, there is the sweet side of him, picking me flowers....

After we were done at the plot, we went and fed the ducks..they must
have been hungry because they came right up to him...

Fun with friends

We had fun over the holiday weekend with some friends..
We went to the Memorial Day Parade and a couple of cookouts also.
We are very blessed to be surrounded by family and friends during the
holidays and we love each of you dearly. Thank you to all of those who have
served and are currently serving to protect our freedom.

On Friday night, the kids were bouncing on the trampoline, so I decided to get inside this big playpen contraption and try to take some photos of them while they were bouncing me around! First up was Adison's turn....

Next was Caiden's turn, only Adison
wasn't ready to give up his....

At least Caiden is smiling as he is running
after him to kick his butt...
Uh-oh! Caught ya!
Wrestle til the end!

Now, let me show you how a pro does it....

Toby McGuire's got nothing on me!

Just Hanging around.....

Baby Girl's turn......

Now, let's have some fun on the swings....

Welcome! Or not...

Last summer, we drove North for the weekend to visit my Mom & StepDad at their lake house. When we arrived, this sign greeted us at the driveway entrance.....We thought it was funny & we posed our youngest next to it, so that we could always remember how much we are loved.

Great Kids, Great Cause!

I had the opportunity to photograph some kids who are very dear to my heart. Not because I know each of them personally, but because I share in their daily hopes that a cure for Juvenile Diabetes will be found in their lifetime. I hope each of you knows how hard we are all trying to do just that, we know you are counting on us!

My oldest, Ally, was diagnosed at 18 months and cannot remember her life without the daily pokes and dietary monitoring. Although, diabetes can be "managed" with insulin injections, it is certainly not a cure and does not promise a life without complications of the disease.

This year, our chairman, Brandon Segal, from National City Bank, gave each of the kids a mini soccer ball. The kids all had fun with them before starting our session. Thanks Brandon!

Here are some of the faces of the kids we are committed to finding a cure for..

This is my oldest....

This little guy decided he didn't want to be in the group pic, but he did let me take a pic of him and his puppy...

Here's the whole gang, minus little guy above.

Hole-In-One!

Our son, Adison just turned five on Mother's Day!
We tried to celebrate his "special day," which is when we take
only him to spend the day doing what he had planned.
Unfortunately, he was sick so we had to spend the day at home.
I ended up taking Monday off and we celebrated by
going to Toy's R US, Burger King and playing
miniature Golf at Hacker's! Thanks PJ!
Here, he just whacked the ball!

Oops, went into the bushes....

Let's try again with Dad giving pointers...

Oops, off the course a bit,
thanks for the pointers Dad.

Trying to get the hole-in-one...
Ahhh.....persistence pays off!
(That's MY pink ball next to Adison's...
notice where Dad's ball is)
Sweet Victory!

Waiting for Dad to catch up...
